Introduction of Computer

The term "Computer" is derived from the word "compute" which means calculate. Computer is a device that allows you to input data, process data quickly and efficiently, gives an outputs and stores data. Thus a computer consists of one or more input devices, output devices, store devices and processing unit.

What is Computer:-

Generally, computer is the combination of hardware and software, which converts data into information.

The Terminology is used in computers are: 

1. Data - raw material numbers, text on pieces of paper, are known as data.

2. Process - you can say sequence of actions taken to convert data into information.

3. Information - processed data is known as information.

4. Instruction - command given to a computer in steps to perform task.

5 Program - is a group of instructions given to a computer to perform specific task.
