Components of Computer

Components of Computer :- Computer is a combination of Hardware and software. these work together to perform any task as instructed by the user. 

Hardware :- 

Computers Hardware is a physical component that is tangible means touched and seen, like Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse, Speaker, Printer, Motherboard, Hard disk, Graphics Card, Sound Card are some of the hardware devices. 

Further Hardware devices also divided in four parts. i.e. Input device, Output device, processing device and storage device.

Input Devices :- 

Input devices are the device that is used to sends data into the computer system. some of the input devices are Keyboard, Pointing Devices, Scanner, MICR, OCR, OMR, Barcode Reader, Microphone (Mic), Web Camera, Digital Camera, Biometric Sensor, Smart Card Reader . 

Mouse :- 

Mouse is a pointing device used to control the movement of pointer. This has two buttons left and right, one scroll wheel to scroll down the application window on it. the mouse used in market are mechanical mouse, optical mouse and wireless mouse. The left mouse button is used to select and item on the screen, double click is use to open a document or program and right click used to display a list of commands. you can also use drag and drop with mouse to move and item on screen.

There are some most pointing devices are used in computers for different purposes like Joystick, Light pen, Graphic Tablet, touch screen, and trackball. 

Keyboard :- 

Keyboard is a most commonly used input device. now i am writing this blog using keyboard used to enter the data in the computer system. Keyboard has types of keys on Keyboard - like Alphanumeric key used to enter A-Z and 0-9 . Punctuation keys  used to enter comma, period, semicolon, brackets, parenthesis. Special Keys Such as Control keys, Arrow keys, Caps lock key, Delete key, Alt key, Shift key and Function Key from F1-F12. 

Scanner :-
